I'm Todd Platt, and I've been in IT for 25 years, long enough to remember swapping backup tapes and ghosting machines across entire networks.
I got my start in a small computer shop fixing laptops and cleaning out malware. From there, I jumped into the enterprise world doing everything from rolling out system images, performing inventory with Data General DOS to managing backup rotations on the night shift. Yes, actual tape backups. I’ve lived through the full arc of modern IT.
In 2008, I moved into consulting and found my lane. I supported clients across South Louisiana. Everyone from small shops to global oilfield companies. From handling Active Directory migrations, server rebuilds, to full Network Operations Center deployments. I eventually became a National Operations Center Manager in the oilfield industry, where the downturn forced me to shut down three locations before the IT department was outsourced. It was brutal, but it taught me more about leadership, clarity, and resilience than any class ever could.
After that, I joined Perficient as a Sr. Technical Consultant and kept climbing; first into Product Support Management, then into Sr. Product Engineering Management in 2023. Today, I'm a Project Manager leading a global team of 10+ developers and support engineers building cloud-based contact center platforms on AWS Lambda, JavaScript, Python, and Salesforce. I manage the full SDLC, keep customers aligned, and make sure complex systems hold steady when the pressure ramps up.
Outside work, I’m always learning. Right now, that means Python, automation, and AI-assisted development; building tools I actually use, from real-time analytics to monitoring dashboards running on a battalion of Raspberry Pis in my home lab. AI is my multiplier; it helps me build faster, smarter, and cleaner than I could alone.
When I’m not in tech mode, I’m usually playing guitar (35+ years), smoking anything that fits on a grill, or obsessing over the perfect pizza dough on my pizza steel. The quest for elite crust never ends.

A localized monitoring script running on Raspberry Pi that watches my entire server stack. Monitors vital services, attached drives, hosted webpages, and displays critical NetData metrics to keep everything running smoothly.
Self-hosted workflow automation running on Raspberry Pi in Docker. Built for automating server stack troubleshooting, monitoring website health, and sending intelligent notifications when services go sideways. Currently expanding workflows for self-healing infrastructure.
Full Grafana/Prometheus deployment for real-time metrics collection and visualization across the entire Raspberry Pi infrastructure. Custom dashboards tracking CPU, memory, network health, and service uptime with alerting for proactive issue detection.
Custom Twilio IVR system for routing incoming calls to our travel consulting business. Built with intelligent call flows that direct customers to the right consultant based on their selection. Simple, effective, and way cheaper than traditional phone systems.
Lead a global team of 10+ developers and support engineers delivering features for cloud-based contact center platforms built on AWS Lambda with JavaScript and Python. Manage complete SDLC, facilitate Agile standups, lead monthly client calls, and troubleshoot production issues.
Led and managed a global team of up to 11 members for cloud and on-premises contact center solution support, coordinating with Development and QA on quarterly releases.
